Tourists Safety Numbers 


In view of tourists' safety in the state,Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation has provided facility of live chat on its website www.mptourism.com

Giving this information during Tourism Ministers' conference in New Delhi, Minister of State for Tourism (independent charge) Brijendra Pratap Singh informed that tourist helpline number 18002337777 and women's helpdesk number 1090 will be available on reception counters of all hotels/motels/guest houses in the state. 

Besides, the government is providing facility of tourist police at Sanchi, Khajuraho and Orchha. At present, 60 trained police personnel have been deployed at Hhajuraho tourist distination. 
District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPC) has been constituted in 22 districts of the state, which will apprise tourists of district's culture, heritage, rural lifestyle etc. 

Besides, 1338 stakeholder such as auto/taxi drivers, porters, guides etc. have been given behavioural training under Tourism awareness program. 

It is noteworthy that in a letter, Union Tourism minister K Chiranjeevi has urged chief ministers of all the states to ensure effective measure  for creating conducive atmosphere  for tourists.

BHOPAL: In a bid to increase the foreign tourists' influx to the state, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation (MPTC) has plans to organize a road show in London in August. "We have blueprinted a strategy to attract more foreign tourists to the state. Already, we are issuing advertisements to foreign print media to attract the foreign crowd towards the state," MPTC chairman Mohan Yadav told reporters here on Friday. Advertisements have even been issued in German and Italian magazines to pull foreigner tourists to Madhya Pradesh, being projected as the heart of incredible India
